Steering stopped working 2002 27 PC

My steering stopped working yesterday. Had to get towed.
Does anyone know about the steering system?
Any experience with this?

It's a steering cable, with hydraulic assist? What happened...you turn the wheel and nothing happens? A broken cable? Can you open the hatch and watch as someone turns the wheel for you?

I turn the wheel and the engines remain in position.
I tried to do it by myself...I cannot see where the cable is.
Tomorrow I'm going to have someone help me.

BTW, I see you're from Manasquan. Last year I went from City Island (Long Island Sound) through Manasquan Inlet, and down to Barnegat Surf City NJ. Great to arrive at Manasquan Inlet after being out in the ocean for so many hours.

It's a slow but nice ride down to Island beach. We did that to Beach Haven a couple of weeks ago. Supposed to do Block Island in two weeks! Did you hug the coast or is that open ocean from Long Island?

Open ocean. Once you get past Sandy Hook it's open ocean all the way down to the inlet. Can get pretty rough in winds above 10mph.
