All, I need your help! 2000 502 mag mpi in a 271 Fastech. Water temp raises to 180-220ish when getting on plane. Idles totally fine in the driveway on muffs, idles fine in the marina (fresh water), temp fine in no wake zone, as soon as I give it the juice temp climbs. Replaced thermostat...

Looking at buying a 2000 271 FASTech. The hull has seen better days... I believe most, if not all, of the damage is from loading/unloading often as the boat didn’t sit in the (fresh) water. Just looking at these two images, would sanding the hull, painting, then gel coating it be all it takes...
