So, just purchased my ‘95 280SS…..Seems to have this same cabin latch mechanism. I closed and locked the door upon purchasing it and driving it 600 miles to my home, and now I can’t get the latch to unlock. The key does enter the hole and turn the mechanism, but the latch mechanism does not...

Did you ever get an answer on moisture issues with the 280 SS MODELS. THX
