    Cabin bilge switch? 350 CBR

switch or circuit breaker? I'm guessing the latter. I don't have a forward bilge pump, so I'm not that familiar with their use in that location.

    Cabin bilge switch? 350 CBR

Does the existing pump wiring have 2 wires or 3? 2= hot all the time 3 = could be on a switch.

Dash Gauges Wiring and needles Fix?

Removed and cleaned the battery leads on each battery, went from a dark brown/greeninsh to bright copper! Also cleaned the post and bottom to a nice clean, what I assume is lead. Haven't tested it yet, but at least I tried. Also going to improve my dual amp wiring setup at the battery side, it...

Dash Gauges Wiring and needles Fix?

Port Tach backlight was flickering for a few seasons now. Livorsi said it was probably the bulb 'holder'. so I went in, cleaned and adjusted the metal tabs a bit - no joy. Of course that was after I put it back together. Pulled it all apart, replaced the LED bulbs with a new one, in all 3 of...

PPF. testing above and on water line - Avoid tannin stains?

So, every summer my boat turns from nice white to brown from the tannin in the bay. and that's gross. So, for fun I got $10 worth of PPF, and applied it a few areas and will update this thread in the summer and fall. I also put some on the air intake where the water hoses lay when I'm flushing...

    3/4 NPT Drain Plugs

i think they were from the factory, but I replaced the engines and removed the oil drain hose. I use a jabsco bucket thing to pump out the oil.

    Baltimore Key Bridge Collapsed 03/26/2024

https://www.cnn.com/us/live-news/baltimore-bridge-collapse-03-26-24-intl-hnk/index.html I've been on and under this bridge a hundred times. This is a gut punch and it hurts. I hope for the best for anyone involved.

New Panel Time! (Ordered) PLUS! Bonus Relays?!

Rid my boat and myself of the bad connectors. if it becomes necessary, I'll wire in the better ones at some point, but that seems unlikely. the prior connectors used lower than I'd like quality wiring and the wires would pull out from them much too easily. No thanks. Not on my boat.

New Panel Time! (Ordered) PLUS! Bonus Relays?!

well, the bad news is I hate the connectors I used on this panel SO much. The good news is, (almost) anything is fixable with some cash and time. Ordered some new 4 and 6 pins. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C3VJ4LH8?psc=1&smid=A10FQ1DBQYUKN7&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp These are the ones I used on my...

    Underwater Outboard?

Fine, I'll start. First off WOW. What?! this engine lives UNDER water. that's... something. I give Rotax MAD credit for even thinking of this, let alone putting it into production. The choice of a 2 stroke seems odd to me, unless it was size/weight restricted? Merc hangs a 600HP v12 off an...

    Fastech SunPad Replacement - DIY

Looks good. I'll be looking to redo mine fall 2024. Thinking of just taking it to a local shop. I'd like to double the thickness of the padding and just do a white cover. My cover is cracking and the padding seems thin after 20 years.

    3/4 NPT Drain Plugs

I was gentle ;) a battery terminal thing might work if it was cleaner. I had chased an unknown oil/grease leak for 3-4 years now (I think this time its finally good). I just turned it by hand in and out a few times. much cleaner now. Fun fact: the plugs are 1/2". I measured them as 3/4" but the...

Dash Gauges Wiring and needles Fix?

"done". I am so beat. massively less messy and more secure. You can also pull the dash with only 4 connectors now. I didn't put a connector on the GPS. it has a long service loop and it's 1 screw. With any luck I won't be removing the panel ever again. Tested what I could with the engines off...

    3/4 NPT Drain Plugs

what is everyone servicing their drain plugs with? When on the trailer - the plugs (3) are out, so for me, 2x a year or once I guess depending on how you count it. Mine are old and nasty, I saw the Born Again Boater guy cut strips into his plugs, so he could use one as a tap to clean out the...

Dash Gauges Wiring and needles Fix?

The new connectors are 2x the quality of the ones I used on the trim switches. I wish I knew of these before. I looked at redoing the trim and it's just way to much work for something that's solid already. Dash side is done. Just need to put matching on the boat, and waiting on some other misc...
