The cockpit carpet in my 2006 260ss is starting to fall apart. While the surface is in good shape, the rubber on the back is disintegrating. It is worse right around the snaps and when I lift the carpet there are black rubber pebbles left behind. Has anyone else encountered this?

I decided to replace my stock plastic speaker grilles with some polished billet aluminum ones. The plastic ones turned yellow very quickly which is probably why Formula no longer uses them. I'm very happy with the results. Boat is a 2006 260ss.
