materials needed 1 fiberglass cloth 1 fiberglass mesh(looks stringy) 1 gallon fiberglass resin 3 activators, 1 structural adhesive (fast dry), a roll of wax paper. grind the edges of hole and bevel it about 2 inches wide .. remove all loose splinters to solid glass. cut the cloth 1 inch larger all around hole. lay it on wax paper . mix a half pint of resin in a old butter tub with activator. pore on cloth and brush in. after its dry, fit it inside the hole sand weak spots in it, with 36 grit sandpaper to bend it . then glue it inside the hole (inside needs sanded with36 grit before gluing). then cut pieces of fiberglass mat to fit the hole lay it in place brush resin on it until all air bubbles are gone. allow to dry sand with electric grinder lightly. once it to shape about 1/4 low cut mat 1/2 inch larger another 1/2 inch larger and so on. put on 1 at a time brushing or rolling with a paint roller (small). until it's built to thickness mix a pint of resin at a time. Easy fix. Do the bottom of boat first glue the whole seam (top to bottom) Like the factory did . After its close grind to shape add resin and mat in low spots. NO BODY PUTTY OR FILLER... ALL RESIN AND MAT.....enjoy the itch find a body guy to finish sand it with 36 grit. then brush on gel coat sand with 80 grit 150 220 320 400 600 800 and buff. Dale Dale & Vicki's collision pgh. pa
