2004 260BR - how shallow is too shallow for docking?

Any opinions on how shallow is too shallow to be a practical slip for a 260 BR?

I'm considering a great covered dock in a shallow cove on a level-controlled lake. Entrance to the dock is tight but no problem depth-wise, but right at the dock itself, it gets quite shallow -- not sure exactly, but definitely under 3 feet at the stern.

Anyone out there docking in similar circumstances that can give me advice on where the limit is?

Thanks!

I have 2.5-3.0 feet under the keel, of my 34 PC at low tide, at the back of my slip. I draw 2.5-3.0 ft. according to the manual. Here in the New Jersey bay, the bottom is soft and sandy. There are some minor control issues, but I usually try to get line up and just drift back in. Usually a good push gets me started out. Not a real issue unless we get a strong west wind for a few days, then I'll stay in the slip, drives up.

Less then 3 feet below the drive skeg is to shallow for sand, and 2 feet for mud, at least for me.

Measure the distance while on the trailer from the water line to the bottom of skeg. Now raising the drive while going in/out can give some more room but not that much. The issue is you don't want to be stirring the bottom up and sucking that into the impeller and motor

Thanks -- I hadn't given any thought to the impeller issue, but that is a good point.

Under 3 feet at the stern would make me very nervous, that boat has 22 deg dead rise and most likely a bravo 3 which will draft a lot more than you would think. That setup with less dead rise on a previous boat of mine drafted 37". Also you would have to take in account for how you are loaded, more people in the back would be more draft.
