27 to 29 Bow Rider w/ twin OB

Anyone thinking about a 27 to 29 BR with twin OB?

I bought a 2023 Chap 280 OSX because Formula didn't make one. Has been a real bummer so far. The boat looks good but is no way a Formula, but fit finish, design and access to compartments is minimal at best. Funny sad part, a Chap 280 is actually a 25.5 ft boat, it counts the swim deck

Sent a email to Formula asking if they have any plans to make something in this range a few months ago but no response.

Live on a lake with no need for a large BR. Heck 90% of the time it's just the 2 of use and this one can handle 8 to 9 folks easy enough.

With Formula stopping the larger PC and some others I'm just hoping they think about a twin OB BR that's a bit smaller

smaller? My wife and I were thinking about a Monterey 305ss
we looked at a few and like it, but we plan to loop one day on a liveaboard, and any boat(s) between now and then will just cost more than keeping the 292 anyway.

I don't know if we could go smaller. went from a Chris Craft 245, to the Formula 292 and while it handles the bay well, I sure wouldn't mind a 353

on a lake though, our 245 was perfect. Loved that boat.

Monterey has some smaller than the 305 too.

I googled your Chap 280 OSX, looks like a nice boat!

I "might have" gotten another I/O but ever since 2011 to 2012 all IB and I/O have Cat's and no way am I going that way.

I really like the OSX because the helm swings away so you can sit and face folks around a table and talk. No need to look backwards over the seat to do so

Like my hard top and like the Monterey but the things we want in a BR are, windless and toilet with pump out.
