41 pc wet exhaust elbow fitting

Hi All. I have a 2002 41 pc with tAMD 74 engines. I need to replace the wet exhaust elbow. Here?s the problem. The exhaust end is 5 inches diameter but the fiberglass exhaust pipe from the boat is 6 inches. Currently there appears to be a custom elbow with a welded sleeve to expand it to 6 inches to match the fiberglass pipe. Am I missing something. Is there an elbow made that has a 6 inch end? I?m trying to buy a stock item and not have to go custom. Thanks.

I have been in my bilge the last week and I do not see a difference is size of Starboard exhaust system.

Botjem. I believe the difference is that the 2002 has an underwater exhaust. I’m pretty sure yours is through the side of the hull. My dock neighbor has a 2000 and his fiberglass pipe is 5 inch. Matches the elbow perfectly. Not sure why they did this unless the underwater exhaust needs less restriction and a larger diameter exhaust pipe.

So with underwater exhaust, there is no soot residue on transom?? Obviously you have tried TAG. First Sea Trial after 1100 hour service yesterday, very satisfied with the results, but it was a long and frustrating journey.

Yes I tried them and they were of no help. They couldn’t tell me what part would be needed to connect the pipe and the manifold. Nope. No soot on the transom!

Found the part finally. Trident hose 6 inch to 5 inch blue exhaust hose. Thankfully they has 2 left at Fisheries supply. Otherwise I couldn’t find any others.
