~~~ > 5th Annual BIRDS on the BAY Formula Rendezvous! August 30-31
We have just received a rsvp which makes it our 20th Formula Boat for the Birds on the Bay Rendezvous!
Hopefully I'm not the only new comer this year, I have been looking at the pictures of the pass events saying how did I miss out on all that great fun. Thanks I.D.C.E and Split for talking me into coming to the event.
The accolades should all go to IDCE. This is his baby. I just take orders and help out where ever help is needed.
And slugo you are not alone as the only newbie. There will definitely be a lot of fresh new faces this year.
Well I can't wait, this event is so well organized. If any other newbies are on the fence about going no worries come and have some fun.
Well besides Formula (Decatur) spoiling us with Formula Gear, Formula Boats Northeast has jumped aboard the Birds on the Bay Rendezvous Weekend and is having Captain's Inn spoil us with appetizers and hors d'oeuvres at the docks when we arrive for the Pre-Rendezvous Dinner Saturday night.... ON THEM!!!!
So I think we have the Formula for a fun and memorable weekend to cap the unofficial end of summer!
Please get the RSVPS in asap if you are deciding to come to either the Dinner or Raft-Up!
Hi Tom,
I might have missed it but what form of communication will you use just in case we have to move the raft up location? I know its going to be 85 degrees, slight breeze and a sheet of glass. But just in case? ;D ;D ;D
Through the emails owners used to RSVP. Also it will be updated on all Forums and Facebook if something does arise but it won't... fingers crossed. The forecast looks ok for now, hopefully it holds in there for us.
This years Pre-Rendezvous dinner is in the books. 12 Formulas and 42 people! We are up 4 boats and 20 people from last year!
Good times with everyone this evening. Hope for sunny skies tomorrow so we can have a heck of a time at the Raft-Up.
What a great day!!!! Thanks to Tom and Brian for keeping this going. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones the Formula way year after year. Sorry for not being able to say "peace out" properly.....wtf happened?? Quick thinking, team work, and luck got us out quick and safe. Thanks to Smoke for his mad skillzzzz!!! Nothing like five foot waves to keep you focused on the ride back north!!! Summer has a lot of life left in her. See on the water in September and October.....November too??!! MTP
Hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves and had a good weekend. Was great to see a lot of new faces. Only hope is that this event continues to grow as we attract more and more every year. Definitely didn't end the way we would have liked but we made good use of the time we had together. Shared some good laughs, drinks, and sun with a great group of people.
Great work by all to get out if what could have been a real sticky situation with all boats in tact and unharmed. My hat goes off to everyone. Hope everyone is already looking forward to next year, I know we are.
Thanks for putting everything together meet so many great people. I'm already looking forward to next year.... It really is a great group.... I didn't feel like the newbie at all....
Pics are up. . . I have some videos that I will compile into a movie like last year but I figured ya'll want to see the pics.
Next year there will be some serious thought put into how we can improve especially since 2 years in a row we dealt with bad weather.
Thanks for all that showed. The pics really show how much fun we all were having.
I cannot wait to see the drone footage Steve got!
THANKS THANKS THANKS TOM! Great job!
The dock side H'orderves (Thanks Formula Boats Northeast) added a nice touch to be near the water with our boats and meet new and old faces prior to the awesome dinner at Captains Inn!
Good time at Tices, chest deep water was really cool to walk around and see everyone on the water.
For those of you who did not make it this year hope to see you next year. As for an explanation to what everyone is talking about, the wind kicked up pretty good and we had an anchor lose its set (1 of 6) and we started to rotate/drift :eek:. So we all called it a day and went our own ways;D
Great time had by all!
Little sneak peak
Looks like a great time!!! I'm very envious and wish we could get something like this going in Southern CA. Guess a dealer would help...lol
My first crack at this Rendezvous was 5 years ago without any dealer support. Give it a shot!
