AC system and Generator.

Could I merely close both seacocks and open up the top of the sea strainers add pink, start both units, until I see pink coming out the discharge holes while still in the water ?

Yes 2 person operation, one pours pink or pumps it out of 5 gallon bucket with a pump into strainer while other person starts gene and AC.

I read in my owners manual that the preferred method for adding antifreeze in the AC is gravity fed without starting the system. I watched my mechanic do it this way this past fall. Evidently, the gravity fed method seeks out air and water through the system.

I questioned this method prior to reading it in the manual a week ago.
