arch paint chipping

I have a 2001 Formula 37PC, the paint on the radar arch is chipping.
It is only on the bottom 1' of each arch leg around the edges.
Has anyone had this problem before?
I have attached a few pictures of the problem areas.

I know that cruisers yachts had this problem on their 3870 & 4270 because they did not drill
weep holes in the bottom of the arch for the water/moisture to drain out.
Also, I have heard that if the arch & electronics on the arch are not grounded properly that the paint will fail do to galvanic corroding.

Does anyone know what type of paint they used for the arch on a 2001 37pc?
Thanks

i don't have anything that might help ya other than to say my 95 34pc has the same issue. i believe my arch is aluminum but not sure about yours.

Hello guy's my 2001 400 SS arch had paint chipping on both sides, on the inside. I had a mobile paint guy come out to my dock he featherd out the bad area's and blended the paint in. I was happy with the job it took him about 6 hours to do the job. :)

That looks to me like a galvanic reaction caused by the stainless rivets holding the bimini track to the aluminum arch. Stainless + aluminum+ salt water = bad deal! I had a similar issue on my 36 pc where the stainless grab rail was bolted onto the aluminum arch. Later on Formula started using a welded aluminum grab rail integral to the arch instead, like my 41 pc...
