For the life of me I can?t find where the anodes are on the Charge Air Cooler of a Volvo D6-435 engine. Does anyone have a picture of where they are? (The picture in the manual doesn?t show it on an assembled engine)

I have a 2011 45? Yacht, but the location should be the same on any D6 engine

Thanks!

Did you figure this one out?

Well I figured out that I had the Charge Air Cooler and the Heat Exchanger reversed in my head. I successfully did the anodes on the Charge Air Coolers, that was easy.

Now I need to figure out where the anodes on the Heat Exchanger might be. I saw a video of a guy changing the anode on a D4 and it looks like they’re on the front of the engine within the area which is “framed” by the v belts. I’ll need to take an engine shroud off this weekend and see if I see it.

I found the 2 anodes, one each on the aft ends of both engines; but it appears there is only 1 anode on the forward end of the starboard engine (pic 1). In pic 2, on the port engine, the receptacle where the anode is on the starboard engine, is being used for another purpose (I believe to facilitate heating house water, while engines are running).

So, between the 2 D6 435s, there are a combined total of 3 anodes, do I have that right?
