Cruiser upgrades

I am thinking of adding the following to my boat:

1- Additional Mercathode, it already has two. Just thought I might have even more protection against corrosion.
2- Oil change kit.
3- additional zinc on the drive, again for corrosion protection since I boat in salt water.
4- Raw water flush kit.

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

ADDITIONAL MERCATHODES ARE NOT NEEDED. THE EXHISTING CONTROLLER WILL HANDLE UP TO SIX OLD STYLE HOCKEY PUCKS MOUNTED ON THE TRANSOM. I WENT THRU THIS WITH MERC. SUPERVISING, UNTIL THE READINGS GOT ABOVE SPECS. I ENDED UP WITH TWO SETS ON EACH DRIVE.
CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND OIL XCHANGER. I'VE INSTALLED THESE ON THREE BOATS, AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. THE MODEL 946D WILL HANDLE TWO ENGINES AND ONE GENSET. I BUY THESE AT COST, IF INTERESTED. YOU CAN E MAIL ME FOR PRICING. GOOD LUCK.

Hello to all. I just joined this board as I have ordered a 2006 27PC from Formula. It is due to be delivered this spring. I have read through the forum and have gathered valuable information about this boat from your discussions. I have ordered the 6.2MX BIII drive combination and a genset. The question that comes to mind is the oil exchange system you were discussing earlier. Is this standard on the 6.2's or is this an after market item I would need to do?

It is an after market item and it all depends on how much you want to spend. you can get systems that cost about $100 with a simple pump to extract the oil or you can spend more. Either way you have to have a place to get the oil into and trasport it off the boat.

Anyway, congratulations on the new boat and I am sure you will have a great time with. Spring will be here soon. :)
