I own a 2007 45 with twin Volvo D9575 diesels. when up to operating temperature both engines run at 190*. Does anyone else have these engines and if so what temperature do they run at

My engines (D6-375) run at 185? F (rock steady). I don't believe that 190? is too high. Do they remain steady at that temperature regardless of RPM? How many hours on the engines? Have you ever had the heat exchangers back flushed or cleaned? When was the raw water pump impeller last changed? Last thought, is that running temperature appearing on the gauges or on the EVC?

port engine hit 192. I just bought the boat in feb so I dont know much of the service history. I just hauled the boat and did flush the raw water side of both engines with Rydlyme. I also pulled the impellors which w and thru hulls.ere both in good condition. after I finish winterize this weekend I plan on cleaning the intake scoops. The temp s were from the EVC displays

You need to verify what thermostats are installed before you start addressing temperature concerns. 180-200 is not excessive for a diesel, so long as you can maintain a constant temp. If I have a choice I would run warmer rather than cooler, Diesels that are run under temp are subject poor economy, incomplete combustion, sooting, improper break in, wet stacking. and other issues.

Volvo Penta lists only one thermostat for the D9-575 engine. It's part number is 21412646 and it's operating temperature is 86?C which is 187?F. You can, of course, validate that they are operating correctly by removing them from the engine and testing them in a pot of heated water using a calibrated thermometer. However if both engines are running at the same temperature, I would suspect that nothing is wrong.

Remember that engine installed sensors and boat installed gauges are not accurate to the last degree.

Don't worry about readings that are within a few deg of specification, as long as they remain steady.
