I got some Merc phantom black to paint my drives.

How many cans per drive?

I did one can, and it looks pretty good, but should I do 2 cans?
 
Its a matter of preference. The prep prior to paint is more important, and could save the other can for touch up
 
Just a reminder....make sure to use a quality primer! I painted my drives (Granted it was not with Merc paint) and it flaked off in a season. (I am in the water all season...) I then used a quality (Self etching) primer the next year....and it performed VERY well!
