How Long do you think it will take to sell my1998 330SS twin diesel ? If I pull the trigger new boat will be here next sping. When should I list the current one for sale? Or did I just do that?

Boats are such a starnge market. I always worry about ending up sitting on a boat like that waitint for a customer to come along. I ended up with two boat p[ayments once. ONCE! I will never let that happen again, even if I have to just trade my boat in to the dealer.

I had advertised my boat in every publication I could think of, gave myself 3 monthes in spring and beginning of the summer and priced it at what I thought was a fire sale price. And still ended up with it for an extra 2 monthes and had to take a big loss on it to sell it then.

The guy I sold it to kept it for a few years and one day some one approached him to sell it. And he sold it for more than what I sold it to the first guy for!

It all depends on finding a buyer for each boat I guess. Yours is a very nice boat with a desirable engine package but I would still start actively trying to sell it as soon as possible and if it goes before the new one comes in count your blessings, and bum rides on your buddies boats til your new one arrives. Thats what friends are for.

BTW what model etc new boat did you order?

It never hurts to get started early, if a buyer comes buy you can try to make the deal at the end of season depending on offers you receive and interest out there.

More specs on the boat? Hours? Motors? HP? Generator? Fresh or saltwater? Is that some kind of custom hardtop/arch on it?
