Imron Paint Maintenance

I've looked on the Formula site, did a search on this site and googled this topic -- bottom line, we should be washing our painted hulls with a mild soap and we should polish or wax the imron at least once a year more often in harsh environments. Is that about right?
Thanks

I would not use WAX on Imron, but a Polish that does not have any yellowing agents in it....

But you got it....you can BUFF in case you have surface scratches, but you have to be careful and use a special compound, etc.

Other than that you got it - but I am sure others will chime in for sure!

I wash with a gentle Biokleen boat/car wash and then protect with the Biokleen polymer sealant.

There are lots of good washes and protectants available. Bottomline; keep it clean, don't be aggressive on it and use a good protectant.

I have used 3M Finesse it II. In fact, the shine is outstanding afterwards. I have always used Meguiars Flagship Marine Wax, and still looks like day one.

Ditto. I have also been using Meguiars Flagship Marine Wax on the Imron as well from day one (Spring of 2007) and it shines like the day it was delivered ;-)

That said, I use Shurhold Buff Magic followed by Shurhold Polish on the White Gelcoat and although it looks great it "is" twice the work.....
