IPS Anti fouling

What is the best antifouling system being used by owners. I boat in Northeast. Was thinking of priming with Interlux primcon then either a hard epoxy bottom paint or Tri lux 33 in white which I have had excellent results on outdrives and inboard running gear in the past.

i'm on the chesapeake bay. i believe that volvo recommends using prop speed which is what i've always used with excellent results.

I boat in Florida and also use Propspeed with great results. A little of the clear on the underwater lights works great as well.

Boat is in 12 months as well.

Trilux 33 is great for areas in clean water flow for weed and barnacles but worse than useless for barnacles when not exposed to good waterflow. With IPS I'd recommend it, for those with outdrives and transom shield, steer clear if you suffer from barnacles. Marlin Velox gets good reviews in the Mediterranean which has heavy barnacle and mollusc fouling.

Shown to example my point. 6 months of growth

Thnx for the reply. Ive used the tri lux 33 on drives and inboard running gear with very good results. I have good water flow at marina and use the boat

Has anyone ever used Petitt's Barnacle Barrier? Aerosol spray on. Considering it for my IPS drive and props. Propspeed is crazy expensive and is gone in 6 months for me.

Yep. Switched to the Petitt BB several years ago, with far better results than Trilux 33. Boating in brackish to mild salt water, and fairly active boating...so the boat doesn't sit idle for great periods of time.
