I posted this on the new OB section but did not get a response so I am going to try it hear where I think most of the Formula outboard owners are located...
Just getting a new outboard Formula with Mercs. Being fairly new to OBs I am looking for advice on the following:
Pre Run checks - I've been told to only worry about the oil. That is a lot easier than my I/Os but I guess that is why OBs are becoming so poplular. Anything else to check or is it all basically on the engine monitors? I don't see any one on my dock taking off their cowls and checking oil - is this really something that can just be monitored on the Merc Monitor?
Also, what are you carrying for spare parts & tools to trouble shoot any issues?
