Radar angle on 34PC Hardtop

Has anyone installed radar directly on the Hardtop? Looking at a 4 degree wedge from Seaview. I'm not sure if i need more angle? 6 Degree?
I have a 2008 34PC with optional hardtop. I'm mounting a Garmin 4' open array Fantom unit. Any help would be great!
 
so Im using a 6% offset and went Im on plan its level. I just learned that radar scope is 35 deg above and below the horizon.
 
Thanks Avalon. Good point you bring up. I looked up my specs on my radar. 20 degree total vertical beam width. I guess 10 up and 10 down? I worry about the lack of range "off plane" if i have too much angle. I never had radar before, am I being too OCD?
