can anyone help me on this. Unit powers up and does everything except give a fix on location. Could this be no antena hook up?

Press menu and then scroll down to GPS status and the push right arrow. this shows you the status of the GPS and any satilites it may be picking up. If there is no info and no black bars under satilite numbers then the antenae is not working. You can also check the antenae itself. There is an led on the antenae. If its red its looking, if its green flash its working. if nothing then it aint connected.
Here is what I found out was wrong with mine. the speaker in the arch is right under the antenae. remove the speaker and see if the connector/wires to the antenae are crushed. On mine, the speaker magnet was pushing on the connector and crushing the wires so i made a spacer to go under the antenae to give more clearance between the speaker and the antenae. its working for now but the cable nees to be replaced. its on order.
