Southern California Formula Owners

Wanted to see if any of the Formula owners from Southern California were on this board? I typically head out of Dana Point, Newport or Long Beach and cruise the coast for a good time. I've seen a few birds in Newport Harbor and was hoping to meet up with a few formula owners, maybe get a Catalina run together.

Anyone out there?

Guess the west coat Formula owners aren't on here or are to uptight to get together and have fun :p Oh well, would have been fun to raft together, show off the boats and meet some new people, maybe next time?

Anyway I had a great Labor Day weekend out of Newport Harbor. I lucked out and got a slip at the Dunes for the entire weekend!! ;D So Saturday ran up to Long Beach cruised the harbor, had lunch at the Yard House and ice cream with the family @ Shoreline Village. Then back to Newport for a quick harbor cruise before dinner at the house. The little one had a big day and decided she needed a little nap, guess she's comfortable on the new boat!

Sunday ran over to Catalina(first time in my own boat) with a couple of friends, cruised up to Two Harbors, ran back to San Pedro then through LB harbor and back to Newport for a late lunch at the back bay bistro then a late harbor cruise with a bunch of family/friends. Long day on the water GPS showed about 90NM's, but what a great time.

Monday took it easy and relaxed on the beach @ 36th street with the family to wrap up an excellent weekend. Would love to meet up with some fellow Formula owners some time, let me know if your around!

Pic from the mooring we were on @ Hen Rock. First time overnighting on the 260ss hopefully many more to come, just need to step up my float game and get a dingy to tool around on while over there.
