Hello:

I am new to the forum and need your opinions on Formula as a company, brand, and the specific boat in question.

Please advise.

Thanks, Marq

Marq,

Welcome on board. I looked at SeaRay, Regal, Doral, Montery, and Rinker before I bought the Formula. I always liked the Formula and when it was time to make the decision it was very evident that they are top notch in quality and crftsmanship. Very solid boats with quality components all around from cushions to engine compatment and connections. One quick test for me was the weight of the boat compared to similar size boats and then the performance and ride handling. My 31PC is 14000 lbs while the rest of boats in the same size area are about 2000 lbs lighter at least and believe me that gives an incredible ride in the water without losing performance. Formula just makes great hulls.
Layout and design of the boat is just right, not too flashy but very well laid out and functional with no nonesense design. Anoother thing was the sunpads: Most boats builders put them in the center and you have to walk over them or around. Well, Formula just laid two on the sides with the ability to walk through the center to the anchor where it is safest.

As for the company, i only dealt with them briefly and they were very helpfull either by email or phone and very responsive.

When all said and done, you get what you pay for but it also does not not mean in anyway that the rest of the boats mentioned aboved are not good boats. You just need to do a sea trial and you will realize what I mean, i did it after I have done the SeaRay 300 and 320 and what a difference.

BTW, the 370SS is an incredible boat but I think if I have another boat in my future then it will be the 400SS. They are both the best of both worlds and great looking boats.

Another thing, you created quite a stir on SeaRay Forum by your comments: ;D ;D

I like their site very much and a lot of experience and knowledge on board.

No, I am not considering it. But I will be getting a new boat very soon, and it may not be a Sea Ray either.

Quick, someone call 911, administer oxygen and will someone smack his chest quick!

DITTO to LBI4fun,

This is my 3rd formula and I am very happy with the boat, and the factory and the customer service at the factory is top notch!

Yes, I am very excited and hope to be enjoying my new Formula very soon! Thanks for the notes, great meeting you all! To the future and beyond.

I have a 330ss I truly think you will be blown away after spending some time on your Formula at the details and thought that goes into building one of these boats. You will wonder why you spent so much time in a Sea Ray before you bought a Formula. The difference in quality is something you will appreciate more and more as you use it.

MARQ,
I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT FORMULA AS A COMPANY. THEY HAVE VERY HIGH STANDARDS THAT THEY FOLLOW, ESPECIALLY IN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT. I DO NOT KNOW OF ANY MANUFACTURER THAT EXCEEDS FORMULA. ONCE YOU JOIN THE "FORMULA FAMILY" YOU WILL NEVER EVEN CONSIDER ANYTHING ELSE. GOOD LUCK.

Well my opinion since you asked ;D I would love a ride in that 06 370SS Formula.
If you buy something else then I would not be interested in a ride ;D ;D ;D

My opinion

Marq, I had another brand for 6 years. She was a good boat. I sold her and it took me 3 seasons of non-boating, but I finally got my Formula, a 353sport (fastech) The purchase process, Ocean Outboard (Bob Schaefer), factory support (Chuck Miller), and the Escape Program are all top notch. A 370SS is QUITE a boat, I was on one at the show room a few days ago. If you can get the number$ to fit your budget I think you would bereal happy with a Formula!!! ;D ;D ERIK
