Trim limit not working, 34PC DTS with new transom assemblies

I have brand new transom assemblies installed and buttoned up. I set the digital trim sensor to 22-24 counts, but the trim limit switch isn't working. It still trim's all the way up to trailer with the trim buttons. I do not know how they worked before as the boat is new to us.

I went through the service manual #30, the drive manual #28, I cannot find any clear wiring diagrams that show how the digital trim sensor interacts with the drive limit. I'm guessing there is a PCM controlled relay somewhere? Does anyone know how this system actually works? One or two good electrical diagrams and it would make troubleshooting so much easier!

Ok, after a lot of looking and research I now know how the whole system works.

First thing is to get the sensor in the acceptable range with the drives at the bottom, it doesn't matter what the number is as long as it's between 50-100 per merc tech support.
The reason the number doesn't matter is that the calibration procedure sets the positions, not the sensor rotation.

Then run the trim limit calibration through smart craft (21 3/4"), and again set the max trailer limit (all the way up for me).
Now everything is set correctly, trim gauges work and are repeatable.

The missing information that I didn't know, on DTS systems, the trim limit is only used under load above 3,000 RPM. So there is no testing it while not underway, though once everything is set I doubt it wouldn't work.

Back to this after converting to vessel view link/simrad displays (essentially the modern vessel view) I have a new issue.

I performed the calibration for full down, level with hull, trim limit, and full up on both drives. One drive I can trailer all the way up, the other drive stops itself electronically for some reason. I re-calibrated it a few times. The full up limit is I think 100 counts, and it stops at 40 counts on the sensor. Anyone else have something similar happen?
