Vacuflush Do Not Flush light remains on

Hello Formula Owners,

This is my first post as a new boater and new 2016 350 CBR owner. I am just getting familiar with all of the systems on the boat, so this could be a really silly question. The DO NOT FLUSH light remains lit (red) on the Vacuflush system. If I hold down the SERVICE button the ball cock will open; if I hold it down again it will close. If I hold down the ADD WATER button, the bowl will fill, but the FLUSH button does not work. Again, the DO NOT FLUSH button remains lit red the entire time. The Tank Monitor light is on a separate panel and it remains green since it has recently been pumped out. This problem happens intermittently and currently it is stuck in this state.

I have a call into my Formula dealer since the boat is still under warranty. I have also looked at the manuals and see that there could be wiring issues.

Can any provide any thoughts or assistance as to what the issue may be? Has anyone else experienced this exact problem?

Thanks,

Mitch

Your system looks a little different than mine, 2015 34PC, but it could be that there is a separate "float" for the do not flush light. It's possible that some toilet paper hung up on the float. Try putting fresh water in the waste tank, take the boat out, and cruise around, then pump out, and see if that fixes your problem. That easier than pulling the float, if it works.

Thank you for the recommendation. The Formula Authorized Service Center in Naples is going to replace a faulty switch. It has acted up since I took delivery in January. If that doesn't solve it then I will try your "gargle and spit" technique.

The only new boat issues that I have had are this and a faulty DOCK mode LED on the Mercury DTS. Again, thanks for the assistance.

one thing i'd add to the water in the tank approach...you can put a bunch of Dawn detergent in there on top of the water and it will assist in breaking down whatever is in there. that's something i do on a pretty regular basis to keep the tank clean.
