Hi all, looking for some info on an error code. "Check Shift Actuator" Port engine.2
013 Volvo 380 6.0 Joystick Ocean X drives Formula 310 Bowrider.
Had some issues with this error here and there on this new to us boat. Boat would stay stuck in forward.
After some investigation found out that the shift cable was frozen.
Replaced the shift cable from the drive to the shift motor actuator. No binding or sharp turns and cable/mechanism moves freely.
Ran great for about a week and now I am getting the same problem with new cable.
I have not found any info on how to adjust the cable? Usually happens when running at a low speed or min wake after running for about an hour so. Warning beep goes off and engine is stopped.
Drive is still in forward. Move lever to neutral. Turn ignition off and then back on and still stuck in forward. (and it actually will let you start the engine when in forward.. CRAZY)
Cycle between neutral to forward to reverse and still stuck. If I tap the actuator with hammer very easy it will go back to neutral.
Then seems I am good for rest of the day.
I did find this link with some trouble shooting that i am going to perform but wanted to see if anyone here has experienced this issue.
