Water Under Left Aft Cabin Bed

I am chasing a problem where I have fresh water in the compartment where the fresh water accumulator and fresh water pump is. I have removed about 3 gallons of water in this area three times in the last three weeks. All of the water connections and pipes in this area as secure and not leaking. I have checked the sump compartment in the separate but adjacent area and it is working properly and does not have any water in the area. The aft cabin pump area under the right bed is dry and my engine compartment bilge is wry as well. Does anyone know what is under the shelf that holds the pump and accumulator? The service department for the PO has worked in this area a messed up the screw threads so I am going to have to drill out the screws but before I went to that hassle I was hoping that one of you could tell me what is in the compartment below the shelf.

Water issues…Yea, been fighting a few myself.

I had some minor leaks around that area and they were from the Pex not seated all the way. You will need to run the pump or fill the tank while checking for any water leaks.

If the fitting is leaking, you do not have to replace it. Disconnect and re-seat or they make o ring and clamp kits for the fittings. Much cheaper than buying the entire fitting.

I checked everything and then dried it real good. Next I filled the water tank and using a paper towel, wiped for leaks. Then, ran a faucet for a while and did the same. Not a bad idea to check the top of the water tank, located in the storage under the steps, behind the aft TV. There is a small carpeted access panel that you can pull up. I found a little leak there that was running dow the Pex and into the compartment you mentioned.

Hope that helps ya.

Thanks Dave, I followed your lead it was the black plastic fittings, someone at some time used plumbers putting on all the connections which had dried and cracked so a few of them were leaking. After cleaning out the plumbers putty and reconnecting all of the with plumbers tape. I found I had a additional leak at the water pump connection as well, that was resolved with a new O ring washer. It looks like it is staying dry now.

Thanks Ray
