What to do because the bay is closed due to Corona Virus

Since mid March, the bay has been closed due to coronavirus. So what did I do yesterday to get ready for hopefully the reopening soon? (After all, it was bright sunny, 78F yesterday at the marina---and yes, I did socially distance myself from everyone else). I fixed a piece of trim that was de-laminating over the engine air intakes with Plexus MA830, I shined every piece of brightwork on my boat, I cleaned the zipper track around the hardtop where the eisenglass zips in, and I flushed out my fresh water tanks from 4 month old water and refilled again with a 1/4 cup of bleach and fresh water. In two weeks I will do my every 4 months of polish and wax the boat. Hoping we can get back to socially distancing ourselves on the water soon. I mean if NYC is opening their marinas, don't you think CA could get our marinas and waterways open?

Yeah, I hope they relax the restrictions on recreational boating in MD soon. Makes no sense, but least you can work on your boat. My marina (Pleasure Cove) won't even let you do that, it's basically closed to the public. I don't understand why some marina's let you on your boat and some don't.

It really does not make sense - we boat to get FAR AWAY from people. On the water it's usually my wife and me. That's it. Given our work from home and sleeping area... I don't think we will cause each other any issues by boating.

Not to mention if I don't get on a boat soon, I'm gonna lose it...

Allegedly Raystown Lake is open - might have to haul it up there for the day. I've got 2 new engines to test and break in!

Alec, that repair looks sharp! Andrew, hearing rumors the Gov may lift 1May. Not sure entirely. This coming weekend looks quite nice.... may end up being a “bad boy”

Thanks for the kind words. I will say that we are so far "lucky" to have our "freedom" to go visit our boat in the marina that we pay for where we stay away from everyone else to work on it. But, given the temperatures and sunlight here and that we've been shut down since middle March, we need to relax the restriction of getting on the water. I do feel for friends who boat in Maryland---my cousin cannot even go their marina in the Baltimore area to work on their boat which is in the water. Here, we're not allowed to have outside service providers in at the marina except critical sanitation, floation issues, and dive service. No outside washing and top side work. Lucky for me I still like to do topside work on my boat.

Update on California: Well a few beaches had been open since last weekend. But because "too many people went to the beach," the governor decided that effective tomorrow 1 May all beaches and all state parks will be CLOSED. So, just when we thought we could get closer to boating, no, we're mistaken. Weather is great---my wife and I can easily social distance by ourselves on the boat but I guess we've lost all common sense. Hiking trails are closed too. Some golf courses are open but I wouldn't be surprised if we lose that permission too.
