Greetings all.

Unfortunately it is getting to be that time of year..

With the previously mentioned Merc setup, can it be raw water side be winterized through the Fresh Water Flush, or is it best to use muffs on the outdrives?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you have pickups in the drives or are there through hulls under the boat for seawater cooling side? Mine has pickups under the boat for the engines and drive showers for the drives. On the front of the engine you might have the pump and pin to pull to drain the block. After I pump it up and drain the seawater side, I run antifreeze through the system. Lots of nuks and crannies (like an english muffin) for sea water to hide in. I have 496 Ho mag with bravo 3x drives. The drives should come off anyway for the winter to inspect them and the boots n bearings for wear... I think there are 3 different systems that can be in the boat. I'm sure others will chime in on specifics.....
