Thoughts/experience on AGM vs flooded?

Physical dimensions (L x W) are the same between Group 24 and Group 34. Seeing purchase prices where Group 34 cost less than 24. Any reason not to go with the Group 34? My 27 PC has a Group 24 for port starting and I would replace with an AGM Group 34.

Adding radar to my 27 PC and want to know what your experiences have been with using a wedge between the arch/pedestal and the radar unit? I’m thinking that primary application for me is close in contacts when not on plane. Essentially safe navigation in heavy rain or fog.

I’ve been mentally debating how to mount a transducer too - no stepped hull though. Personally my focus is trolling speed or slightly above, not on plane. Have been looking at glue on transom block but nervous about holding power at speed. If money was no object I would go with a high end...

I bought my 2007 27PC last year, the conversion was completed. I think it’s vessel view into a mfd. I love the data but at the same time miss the gauges when underway.

My boat is still in storage with limited access - does anyone know the width of the radar arch? How wide a mounting plate can be used for radar mount. Does anyone have first hand experience they can share on fishing radar wires through arch through to console? Access points and tips.

I have a 27 PC with a similar battery configuration - one group 24 stbd start and one group 31 port start/house/windlass. Just bought the boat, doesn’t have a generator. Thinking of adding a second group 31 in parallel and maybe carry a rechargeable jump start battery for peace of mind.

I‘m considering purchasing a Garmin GLO-2 for $120. It’s a stand alone GPS receiver that will connect to my apple or android device via bluetooth. It’s rechargeable too. This way I’m not relying on cell service for location but can still use my larger iPad screen for some of the neat charting...

Thank you GSENT - believe all three latches were used but will test with the dollar bill and also lubricate the seals. Won’t have results until spring.
