Agree with Gsent, your Bats are the initial issue. A AGM at 12.4V is 75% and going down to 11V is about dead
While the boat gauge may have an issue, the Alt should output 14 to 14.5V at the Bat, same as the Bat charger
Howdy
The max WOT RPM is 5200 so it was pretty close to it. Do agree boat should do better then that so wonder if there is something sly going on. Going from 4900 to 5200 is only a couple more MPH. Boat test should be at least 50
If boat was doing 39MPH and turning 3900RPM then motor is the...
Need to test a find out what the voltage level is at the drives. This is measured using a digital voltmeter and a Merc test probe. There are other manufactures of the probes but would need to look. The probe is basically a platinum coated wire wrapped around a short plastic stick with a led...
Don't know for sure which question is being asked, so I'll try all sides
Does the forward bilge have a bilge pump?
If it does then maybe that pump is there to pump the condensate out
If there is no bilge then the line was cut, unless there is a drain leading to amidships bilge
If the forward...
My guess is this should not be a problem
Guessing, look for AC condensation
My 27PC AC condensate drained into the forward bilge. The forward bilge contained the shower bilge pump and also a suction line coming from the vacuum pump located in the engine room. A float located behind the AC unit...
The speedo is run by water pressure that comes from the drive via a thin hose to the gauge. The Bravo drive has a small hole on the leading edge that can get clogged. If the hose breaks this will also stop the gauge. If hose breaks inside the boat there will be water in the bilge
Put a 1/8...
Have not worked on your model, but I had to hang upside down to get mine done
Close the seacock, remove serpentine belt then remove the bolts holding the pump bracket. Want to remove the pump and bracket and move to the bench
Maybe, depends on what paint you use. Also Gel can be harder to apply
I painted my PC hull bottom with VC Performance (3 coats). VC is an epoxy and great paint but the down side is it doesn't have any UV protection, so the sun will cause it to yellow. Now if the paint is used below water line...
Sand and Gel or sand and paint, both will make it look good
Gel coat will have a better chance of it looking original, but no issue with paint. Look at all the high dollar offshore boats, most all of them are painted.
I would not use a Tap to clean the threads. A Tap is designed to cut threads, not chase threads, and a NPT Tap as you know gets larger the further it goes in. Do it enough and you may need to replace the garboard
I might use a round wire brush like one used for battery terminal or copper pipe...
