Speedo Stopped Working and Inside is Yellow?

Good afternoon!

I have a 2000 280SS with Bravo III 350 MPIs. Solid great boat that I love. The speedo has stopped working, as it has in the past. This time, cleaning out the B3 hole, and the lines, did not help. Also, I noticed that suddenly the INSIDE (not the plastic cover) of the gauge is turning yellow. A mystery.....Any thoughts? If it matters, the boat is kept in a slip in salt water in southern CA.

By the bye I use GPS for speed, but am selling the boat soon to upgrade, so I want everything working. Pic of gauge attached. yellow speedometer.jpg

Thanks!

The speedo is run by water pressure that comes from the drive via a thin hose to the gauge. The Bravo drive has a small hole on the leading edge that can get clogged. If the hose breaks this will also stop the gauge. If hose breaks inside the boat there will be water in the bilge

Put a 1/8 drill bit in something to hold with your hand, don't use a drill. Use the bit in the hole to clean it out

So far as the yellow gauge, that's from time a moisture getting in
