‘04 34 PC Starboard Engine Removal?

Ran into an issue where the starboard motor y-pipe has corroded thru and need to remove the motor to replace it. Can that motor come out with the port motor still in place or do they both need to come out? Anyone have any experience removing just the starboard motor? I’ve taken the port motor out in the past but not starboard.

Scratch that. I just went out and looked and it will be no problem. I was so frustrated by this happening that I didn't even look at it yesterday and must have been remembering my my old 31PC where I'm pretty sure the floor covered some of the starboard motor and looked like it would be tough to get it out.

My 07 34pc the starboard engine can come out easy, the port engine has to come out only after the starboard engine.

Yes, I pulled the starboard the other day - easy peasy. Port can come out easily with starboard still in if you remove the exhaust manifolds - had to remove that one a few years ago.

Isn't it easier at that point just to pull both engines? Since you have to pull the hatch either way, and pulling engine mount bolts is easier than doing manifolds in tight quarters, oh and getting to the port starter wires.

Then you get the benefit of access to clean everything.

Pulling the manifolds is not too bad of a job in my opinion and there's enough space to do so. Plus you have to pull the elbows anyway and removing the manifolds makes it real easy to get to the starter wires. Personally, I'd rather just remove the engine that needs to come out and leave the other one alone - the old "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
