My depth sounder is reading way off all of a sunden its not all the way through the hull but never touched anything reading 85ft when it should 6ft ??? 105ft when its only 15-20ft anyone else have problems with theirs? doesnt seem to be any settings on the sounder to adjust.

I have a silly question...have you turned everything off and then restarted everything...in the past I've had problems where when getting into real shallow water the readings get wacky, and restarting seemed to fix it.

Or are you saying that it is happening day after day, etc.

yep turned batteries off turned switch off and everything still wacky, the shallowest water I was in was 3'. found one adjustment yesterday now its only off by about 20ft.

I am developing a similar problem. I have the Raymarine C120 in a 2005 400 SS. It has always worked great on LOTO. A few weeks ago, it started honing in on 17.3 ft when I know I am in 50+ ft of water, as well as when I am in shallower water. Then I tried shutting it down and restarting it, and I would get a good reading for a while. Then, it would find its way back to 17.3 ft.

I would really like to get to the bottom of this one!

Ok, well it is over my head!

You could also try the master reset, meaning set the device back to original factory settings. Maybe you changed a setting that you don't remember changing...other than that, someone else is going to have to help out.

check the depth finder settings on the Raymarine head unit. if its on manual and you have it at the wrong setting, 50 hz vs 200 hz you can get an echo.
