2007, 330ss, Fresh water accumulating in cabin bilge, and will not drain

I have a 2007 330SS, fresh water collects in the forward water tank compartment and in the cabin bilge which is located in the cabin floor by the steps. The water collects in this small blige in the cabin and is connected to the small bilge in the floor of the storage area behind the steps. These two compartments do not hack a bilge pump and they do not drain, I feel they should either drain back to the engine compartment where there is a bilge pump.. I can find no fresh water leaks, I have removed the water tank and I have re wafter sealed the road locker. The only place I can think of the waters entering the boat is at the bow possibly by way of the windless ?? Any suggestions, also are the cabin bilge compartments supposed to be open or connected back to the engine compartment?

I had a 2007 330... exactly the same problem... After 8 seasons I never figured out why. I also thought it was AC condensation, crawled in that hole many times, but never found anything. Also thought it was coming from the fresh water tank under the front bow cushion... I think condensation under the tank might have been the main issue. But not sure.

I have read about this with many other 330 owners.

The stranger part from a design point of view, is there are two small bilge compartments connected together with no where to drain.

I finally gave up, accepted it... and keep a small wetvac handy. The amount was such that accumulation was a few cups over a season. So just had to remember to remove to water every couple weeks so it did not fill up.

Sorry, not a solution... but never found one.

I noticed the same when sea trialing my new to me boat last fall. I will keep an eye on it and let you know if I track it down. Sounds like a tough one though.

Know the issue all to well. My 07 has the same issue. about once maybe twice a season I move a gallon or two from the water tank area. and then remove the gallon in the floor. No idea where its coming from.

My 350 SS had a leak in the elbow-shaped fitting (PVC) connecting the fresh water tank to the main line going to the water pump. I found it by observing the tank as it was being filled. The leak got worse as the tank filled up. The leaking water would up in the bilge compartment in the cabin, the same bilge where the sump box is located. Thankfully Formula did put a bilge pump in this compartment. This bilge takes the water from this compartment and pumps it out the back, so the compartment never fills up. You may want to check/observe your fresh water tank as it fills and inspect the connection from the tank to the water line.

Someone should contact formula. They are awesome at answering get these questions. I have had great experience with Sean helping guide me thru questions.

I have a 2004 330 ss for four years never noticed any water until last year. After a short ride i went down in cabin and stepped into about 2 inches of water. Vaccumed it all out when got back to dock. Didn't have a drop of water in engine compartment or in storage compartment under floor in cockpit area.is there a bilge pump in cabin? why is is such a common problem? Anyone get any answers from Formula?

I have just wet vacuumed mine in the 310 SS. I believe it is linked to the a/c condenser which has a small drip tray and if not empties frequently it fills up the cabin bilge. I got a fair amount out of mine today as it is the first time I have cleaned it and am sure the pervious owner had no idea where it was and wondered where the damp was coming from. I also cleaned out my wait tank today with bleach and water......after a double flush.....perfectly clean and usable.

Good to know. We just did a survey on my 99 330 I'm purchasing. The surveyor was curious as to where the dampness was coming from and even more puzzled it had no where to go. Mine has AC and makes sense for it to be damp or wet

I was able to find out a few years ago from a Formula Tech, that when the Bimini poles are left connected to the window frames (like when you want to leave the front top up) and place the cockpit cover on that the water will enter the front cabin area via the Bimini top, runs down the Bimini pole, hits the area that wraps around the Bimini pole ( cockpit cover area that wraps around the pole) and dumps a lot of rain water into the throttle area, that then drops down into the side of the helm area and ends up in the front bulge area. He sent me a piece of plastic that I was going to mount under the throttles that was to divert the rain water back into the cockpit area. I never used it because I found out that simply removing the front poles from the windshield, stopped the water from coming in. problem solved. Just don't have the poles mounted when you are storing the boat with the cockpit cover. 2007 280 SS twins

I have done the same thing with my 310SS. Had an issue the other day where I turned on my faucets to drain the water for the season and the sump was running but overflowed and started getting water on the floor till I turned the faucets off and wet vaccued the water out. Checked the pump itself and working well. Anyone every have this happen and if so is it a clog or did I forget to open a valve?

Thanks

I thought there was a small opening at the rear of that cabin bildge that drained to the engine compartment

My 310SS has A/C.....never knew there was a drip pan that had to be emptied...where is this pan and is it easy to empty?

There is a bilge pump in the cabin. Does anyone know where this pump is located?

You would think the cabin bilge pump would take care of any water that leaks into the cabin bilge, including A/C pan overflow???

When I leave the front Bimini top up and put the cockpit cover on, I wrap a velcro strap very tightly around the cover at the top of each pole. This seems to prevent any rain water from running down the poles.

I just purchased a 2006 330 Ss and it has the same issue. Have not run the ac, the water tank level does not seem to have changed. and there has been no rain, and there's about 2-3 inches in that bilge. Sure would love to see a solution.

I would just keep drying it up. Isn't the drain level too high?
