Waxing again Monday before she gets wrapped for the winter.
Bottom painted this year.
Oil changed in motors and Gen every season with receipts to prove.
Professionally maintained and winterized every year.
This boat is better now than when it was new.
I am the only owner, I had it built for me.
This boat was featured in the September 2009 issue of Motorboating Magazine, centerfold article. (See Online)

Owning the same vessel as yours, but without Axius and a few other options, and half the hours and freshwater use, the reality of today's market is that 269,000 is way way high. Not to be rude, but the NADA values on our Formula will cause anyone to roll over and say a few choice words, etc...

Obviously NADA doesn't show accurate pricing for our options, but in today's financial world, unfortunately NADA is a driving force that banks and others look at for pricing...It's not accurate pricing, but they have to use something....

Best wishes for a quick sale !!!

Based on NADA, the very, very sad thing is that FormulaFanMN seems to be correct.

NADA suggests that the selling number should be $164,500 on the high side. That said, AXIUS, Stainless Steel Windshield, SeaCore drives, etc are NOT included as options when pricing out a boat on their website. Not fair in my book but "fair" doesn't seem to be a four letter word used these days especially by the bottom-feeders that are out their.

Good luck on your sale / purchase quest......

NADA does not accurately account for optional equipment for all makes.

One example is the hardtop on a Formula. You actually get a higher percentage back for a VHF radio than you do a hardtop.

As mentioned before, NADA does not account for SS windshields, joystick, Imron, etc....

Market conditions change, but it's something to remember down the road IF someone is buying NEW that the price you pay for all those options, will in the end probably show almost zero return on the price of your boat. Granted, these are unusual and depressing times, but who knows what the future will hold ???

another consideration about NADA is, they are not check-writers! The best data on value probably comes from soldboats.com, the back end of Yachtworld and only available to brokers. If you really want to know where your boat should sell, ask a broker to print a recent sold list and use that for comps. Then you will know what the market is willing to PAY for your boat and sadly, what its worth.

ISLAND, you're REPO boat purchase was totally different than this forum members boat purchase was. He didn't buy a REPO boat at prostituted price like you did and you're type of boat purchase (even though wasn't your fault) was a huge contributing factory why prices are where they are at right now or better yet Formula dealers that washed their hands of the inventory.

You keep using the word Rep, New untitled zero hours with warranty . How is it a repo! It's on;y a repo in the eyes of the law if it was titled. That is the MD statue. Either way I made money so who is smarter? Why should anyone pay retail, and at 36% off a new Formula that is retail in my book. Anyone that pays $320K for a new one is going to loose 75K the first year. The dealer went broke I got lucky, case closed. Fact is, Formula is asking way to much for there boats. They need to wake up. I would by a Cobalt for the same price as a Formula and I loved mine.

Smarter ? Doesn't have anything to do with the conversation...

Formula didn't have the resources to purchase back all of the boat's that the dealers let go and then GE Capital let the boat's go at insane levels.

Wrong again, mine was from floored by Key as well as my friends 08 31 for $139 loaded. I could have bought this from AGYG for 190K before they closed but why, I waited and get the same boat for less. I bought my last 4 boats this way and never lost. You just have to look and wait.
Active thunder 28 70K under retail
420 Searay 75K under cost
272 Baja 15K under cost

All new untitled

I know of 3 2011 Cruiser's loaded untitled zero hours that can be bought under cost. Loaded under 210K for a 34 with Volvo IPS drives. Full warranty

I appreciate all the comments. There are a few things to consider. First of all i thought i would just list it because if i can get around 260k, great. if not, I love my tub. We have a great time. The fact is, what makes something expensive is if someone feels that they are not getting value for what they are paying for. I also feel out of the few 2008 34pc's out there, mine is one of the more attractive color combos, morning Sand, with morning sand cockpit seating. The AXIUS is 22k, i got robbed in october 2007at the Annapolis show when i ordered it. $376

I was thinking if i am ever lucky to get near what i owe to get out of this boat and be on the buying side of the fence, i would probably buy a 42 or 45 , 2007-2008 Searay Sedan bridge. More value for your money.

I even tried talking to everyone in the Formula lineup, directors, regional sales people, local formula dealers. Believe me they are tired of hearing my name to the point they probably cringe. Its a shame but i wouldnt call them again.

Ok, i vented, i'm done
