2009 40PC STBD Wiper Motor - sealed or any chance of fixing ?

Hello....

So I know my headliner has to come down (dang Formula, there must be a better way) to replace my STBD wiper motor. It runs, but the spindle just moves around a bit and does not sweep, so assume some linkage is wacked.

I've been told that motor is $250 (ouch) to replace...so does anyone know if you can "rebuild" or "fix" the mechanics...or is it 100% sealed and I am SOOL !

Thanks in advance !

I ran a quick Google search, most wiper motor assemblies go for $30 to $200 for the multiple/variable speed, and that includes some national retailers not known for selling cheap. I guess you can adapt most models to fit your boat with little effort, there is nothing magic about wiper motors, just the degrees of movement you need and a 12v power source.
You are always helping people wish I could be of more help to you Toofast

Yeah no worries I think I always ask difficult questions.... thanks a bunch for for validating the cost... might as well go a few dollars more and get the one that formula says is the correct fit.

Jed,

Were you able to speak with TAG about it?? They might have some suggestions. Also Jeff at Marine Tech might be able to get an answer too.
