When I open my rear engine bay hatch it is really slow but when I close it, to me it seems too fast. My concern is it puts to much force on the mounting bracket and transom from the quick downward force. Has anyone else experienced this? I?ve wondered if my switch could be wired backwards? Also I?ve read about adding relays to increase the raising speed which would be nice but my concern is with how fast to closes. When it?s fully open and I begin to bring it down it has a super fast jump. I usually try to hold something against it and hit the switch at the same time to avoid the small bouncing effect it has as it starts down.
