Need some help with my New to me 260ss. Went to see if the sink and tran some shower worked today and no water came out......?????

Pump is on as I can hear it and the tank is full of water.... What am I missing? Looked at all the connections and everything seems like it's hooked up? Any ideas where to start?

Pump impeller might be chewed up. Some can be serviced or opened up to check for debris. Or just get a new pump and save yourself the troubleshooting. Rarely will you have kink or obstruction in lines.

only other thing I can think of is your little filter on the pump is clogged, at least I have one in that general area....but that should be easy to check and clean.

I got some time to troubleshoot it this afternoon. First thing I checked was the strainer and found a ton of gunk and what looks like plastic shavings that had been in there awhile. This surely wasn't helping things.....

Put it all back together, hit the pump............ Still no water from the sink/transom shower, just pump noise ???

So I pulled the water line feed to the strainer/pump again and with no water coming out figured it was blocked. So I tried blowing into it like I was blowing up a balloon hoping to free up whatever might be in there. After a couple seconds of that I hear bubbles from the water tank and stopped. Now I hear air/gurgling water followed by free flowing water from the tank. After getting wet from this I quickly screwed it back into the strainer.

Went and hit the pump and again..... STILL no water from the sink/transom shower, just pump noise ??? :-\

I figure the pump may need to be primed cause I could see water and air at the strainer

Not sure the best way to do this so I turned the pump on, turned the sink on and basically sucked on the end of the faucet like a straw for a few seconds

At which point the pump noise changed, I stopped sucking and a couple seconds later I had water flowing into the sink! Checked the transom shower and it also worked!!!

FIXED ;D

Now my only question is why I have pink water? I'm guessing it's some kind of winterizing thing I'm not familiar with (I live in SoCal) Any ideas?

Oh and thanks for the responses guys!!!
Andy

For future reference I have a SHURflo pump model# 2095-423-244 and SHURflo accumulator model# 181-203
and here is a pic of what I believe to be the factory setup:

pink stuff would be antifreeze from winterizing. flushing the system thoroughly should take care of it. We use an additive in our fresh water system that comes from walmart, i think it is called pure taste and can be found in the rv section. we have NEVER had an issue with our fresh water system so i'd recommend you find a product you like to keep things clean and fresh.

Congrats on the fix, and yep what Formula Tenn said...

You can also flush with a bit of bleach...fill the tank, pour in a few cups of bleach (into the tank) - go out for a fast run in rough water ::)- then rinse a few times.
