2nd Annual Formula Rendezvous Golden Nugget Marina AC


The Mann's are coming from Wappingers Falls, NY to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary! By land but with bells ringing, reservation just made, waiting on the email for a confirmation number. Not looking forward to a Saturday drive on the GSP but sure looking forward to the arrival. Now, what to pack? Hmmmmm..... 8) :)

Didn't take much to twist your arm. As a suggestion, if you are planning on bringinh the misses out to dinner make reservations in advance.
 
We are now up to 22 boats and 55.5 peeps!

The only thing we have planned is the dinner Saturday night.

Looks like most boats will arrive on Friday and stay thru til Sunday am.

Saturday we will be judging the the boats for the awards in the afternoon before dinner. We will also have a raffle like we did last year for some nice beach towels.

If anyone wants to put together a ride for Saturday morning/afternoon please do!

If you are heading to AC from North via inland waterway please note that they are dredging the inland water way. This past week they were just south of 159/160, Shad Island. As you approach the dredge heading south it should be on your port side. If its on your port you will use the dredge as the Green Marker and they will have smaller Red Markers on the Stbd side. The dredge will be maked with the correct color(should be green). They monitor channel 13 if you should need to ask them any questions. I have been shooting the middle or slightly closer to the dredge. And no wake of course ;D

No issues in the waterway from Great Bay to AC. Have ran this about 10 times this year during Low and or High Tide.
 
Hey Steve, Bad news. I may not make it to GN this weekend. Last week while passing the Varazzano Bridge on the way to a nice NYC weekend in Liberty Landing Marina we hit a big dead wood. Ripped up all 4 props and shafts. Boat is out of the water, waiting for Buddy Eckel and his techs to install new props and shafts on Friday. I may show up on Saturday. Hopefully I see all of you. Friday is out but if I do come Saturday I will give you a nice long horn blow when I enter the marina and I'll be ready for a cold one. Hope to see you.

Dam! Well we will save you a spot! And have a few cold ones waiting for ya!

As of right now 17 boats check in on Friday and 4 on Saturday.

I hope to be on the dock by 4pm Friday at the latest flying a large RED Formula flag. H dock is where we will be. Please call Golden Nugget Marina on channel 65 for your slip assignment when you are in the basin. We are starting at the T Head and working towards bulkhead. Last year Joe Wojos 48 and Comstocks 45 were on another dock. Joe Wojo had to cancel so we now have the 2 45's. Comstocks and CynosureVI attending. Both 45's will go on the T'Head this way you have electric requirment and also on the same dock. See you all soon

Ok last count 30 boats and 88.5 people. Some folks staying in hotel arriving by car. This is an awesome turn out!
