It's not the same. I want to know about diesel 330's. It might be missed at the end of the other thread. What skin is it off your teeth?
 
If someone did not get a response on there question or felt it was missed then it is OK to post a new one for it, I have done it by posting in two areas because I thought my initial post was not noticed. Not a big deal at all.

Anyway, I have not seen any Diesel 330SS so far. All the ones I saw are Gas and this could be because it is more of a performance boat.
 
Looking for the past few months since the season has been over, I cannot recall seeing one 03-04 model diesel for sale and I have searched over alot of boats. I would be guessing you would see even less ordered in the future for new boats if any at all on this size boat given the significant difference in diesel gas prices in comparson to reg-unleaded.
 
I ran across an article on the net about a 330 with diesels. It said they got 3 mpg with the setup, and would still run 60 mph. I was wondering if anyone had real world experience with them.
 
1998 330SS, twin kad44edc volvos  400 mile range @ 38MPH with reserve left over . You do the math. bought it used with 125HRS. If you do your homework you"ll see that those engines were not offered as standard option in 1998. as to top speed? Ya might pass me but I'll eventually catch ya when you run out of juice
 
Do you know what it listed for originally? I was wondering how much the upcharge was for diesels.
 
To add the diesels today you would add about 38K. thats real money not list, The original owner said the add in 98 was 30K
 
Did the diesels hold their value when you bought it? In other words, was the price of it porpotionately higher with the diesels, or was it about the same price as other 330's with non diesels?
 
I'd rather not discuss how much I paid for it. However you'll be hard pressed to find another of the same vintage with the 44's. I know of a 96 that recently sold in florida with yanmars and 700HRS for 105K, There was also a 98 in europe with KAD43's that brought 110K US$. In todays market I dont know what mine would bring, and I guess I dont care, theres nothing on my wish list that I would rather own..probably the fact that I trailer and garage store this boat somewhat limits going larger, Although the tow vehicle would'nt mind
 
I wasn't looking for you to give a price you paid, just basically wanted to know if you got the diesel upgrade for free buying used.
