Has anyone slept on the v berth on a 350ss. The table goes into a cushion and just rests on the edge of the v berth. Ours fell down 4 times during the night. Is anyone else having this issue.
The lip/edge that the table (i.e. bed base) rests on is only about 3/4". The table would move towards aft slightly and due to the 'V' shape, it would fall out of the edge. I also discovered that the edge/lip had broken loose from the side.
Not sure if the design on the 350 is similar. BUT . . .
To fix the problem, I added another layer of 3/4" board (PVC trim stock) covered in vinyl so that the lip was now twice as thick (1.5") and looked like it was meant to be. I also used stronger through-bolts when adding the extra layer of lip so that it is plenty strong. I have not used the v-berth yet, but maybe sometime this season.
