35pc parts boat on ebay

That is a nightmare project, no way unless you simply have nothing else to do and you want to make a show out of it.

i must be sick, i think it would be pretty cool to fit out your own boat as a winter project 8)

Check your temperature... and apparently your wallet. You must have money spilling out of it. :)

oh yeah, money.....i guess i'd need some of that too but if it weren't for that i'd still have a blast with a project like this. and talk about knowing your own boat inside and out, you'd be the king of your domain for sure with this one!

i guess that depends on how much time you wanted to devote to it but with proper planning and doing the job shade tree style i'd think 6 months would get you pretty close to done. heck, if you spent 2-3 weeks on each system (electrical, water, etc) 6 m0nths would give ya a little wiggle room ;) you ain't gotta build it from scratch, yer getting a hull with a lot of extras. ya just gotta fit it out. imagine setting up your own bilge and being able to make things accessible/servicable. where would YOU put your batteries/strainers/pumps/valves if you were starting with an empty hole? i've got 502's w/v-drives and i've been around every inch of my bilge. its tight so i know a few things i'd change if i ever got the chance. besides, it's a formula so you'd be building a boat that would last a lifetime :)

Where do boats like that end up - is there a boat salvage yard somewhere? As bad as that looks I bet there are some good parts on it that somebody somewhere needs!

This boat happens to belong to my brother, or use to, the insurance co. has it now. He hit a channel marker on the way from Fort lauderdale to key largo on the ICW in broad daylight in about 7ft of water. The boat sank to the gunnals in about 2 minutes. He kept the boat at my house,( Ilive on the new river) and it was in perfect shape. Heres more pics ( Dont cry )

I hope your brother is OK. He must have punched a pretty good hole to sink that fast...Surprised at all the oil staining. Looks like engine oil...

No one got hurt Luckly and yes its diesel oil 2 cummins 450s. You can see where they patched the hole to refloat it to get it to the nearest marina. Boat US handled that.

Very Happy to hear no one got hurt. Looking at these pictures gave me a very somber / sad feeling. No one was hurt and you stated the boat was insured, but it still feels like something important was lost. Condolences to your brother.
