37 PC inboards

My friend is purchasing a 2002 37pc with inboards. Does anybody have information regarding speed and RPMs. What should the boat have as a max RPM? The engines are Mercruiser 8.1. Thanks.

The props that come on the boat are generally Hurth. Big ears with a significant overlap, so hard to tweak the pitch. I had Acutech do my props and it was worth the money. Evened out my fuel flow and RPM?s within .1 gallons and 10-15 RPM?s.

Here is a shot WOT full 95% fuel and empty water, canvas off, 2 adults on board. Who says V-Drives don?t go!

Cruises well at 24-28 mph. Depending on the weather. We leave the glass and canvas up, center open for airflow. We are usually loaded up with days of supplies, full fuel and water. We spend 3-4 nights a week sometimes in the summer weather up north!

My 40PC with the 8.2L Bluewater MPI engines love to run at 3600 RPM, which allows me to cruise at 25-26 mph. These are great running boats, not speed demons, but faster than most express cruisers with inboards.
