37 TO 40 PC

Well we went to look at a leftover 2009 40pc loaded.
loaded and a good price. Dawn was going from stern to bow and I thought we were going to own a new boat. ;D
it addresses all the issues we thought we could improve on the 37 for the way we are using our boat now.
Larger ref. better head. larger aft cabin but do not care if it did. Flatter front deck. Wider helm seat. great hardtop. Galley better.
IPS

But :'( The closets were destroyed in space, headroom over the front bed less and looked like the bed was narrower at the bottom but not sure. Tv in front goofy too low mounted. I now see cockpit air takes up too much storage, Fold up seat for co-pilot looses storage New boat got vetoed by the c.f.o.

Looks like we have to hold out for a few more years and save the big pennies for the 45.

.

The 37PC to me is the best all around boat Formula produces. It has the best choices of engines / drives. I just wish they would make the private forward stateroom an "option" instead of standard.

The one + on the 40PC is the hydraulic PWC lift, but obviously the 45 is in a whole different class.

Yes i agree we have the open stateroom. That is what we have a shame they removed it.

pwc/dingy lift huge ++ I thougt we were moving up very sad :'( :'( :'(

It is a shame they cannot update the 41PC molds to accommodate IPS. The 41 is a great boat and even with the privacy forward stateroom the cabin is very spacious. It would be nice to have a bridge between the 40PC and the 45 Yacht. On the other hand I do remember hearing the 41 molds have been destroyed  :(

Will be interesting to see when Formula gets turned around what the new lineup of PCs will be ? I know it's going to be several years, but I sure like what Sea Ray did, even on 33' boat. Would be a nice option on the PC lineup

I can't post the link, but it's the Sundancer 305 under the sport cruiser section. Looks like it's not designed for the US or Canada.

We would like to see a 2002 41 ourselves. Not many around here and no newer ones.

when I got my 41 I asked someone at the factory about 2002 build numbers; 3 gas and 18 diesels. There were fewer 2003's but they were all diesels and just a spattering of 2004's were built. There was a 2003 available in Wisconsin for a while and I've seen a couple listed in the Jersey/PA area from time to time. Problem with the Jersey boats is they have been heavily exposed to salt water and that takes its toll in very short order. If you ever come down to the Poughkeepsie area to visit the Walkway Over The Hudson look me up.....

Good to know I have one of 18 2002's! Would be nice to see a bridge between the 40 and 45. The 41 with a modern hard top would be nice. I'm not a big fan of the "glass house" design of the 45. I had a pilot house express before my 41 PC and I missed the fresh air. Having said that, the 41 PC windshield / isinglass set up is kind of goofy, I'd like a taller windshield and less isinglass, like the Tiara 38. I dislike trying to look through the isinglass underway when it's raining or at night.
