Has anyone replaced or rebuilt these due to seals leaking?
It looks like the engines have to be removed to get the trim cylinders off. VP engineers had their head up their ? designing this one.

Usually, leaks are repairable by removing the gland and rod. I don't know what the current availability on individual seals and pistons are. For some time VP was not selling anything but complete cylinders. They are buried on the inside of the transom shield. I have talked to volvo and in certain situations they can be reached from the inside. Not likely on a 400SS with the notched transom.

I can?t get the gland cap to budge. Using a 1/2? breaker bar. Just keep bending the pins in spanner tool.
