Formula Owner's of New Jersey's - 4th Annual Birds on the Bay Formula Rendezvous will be held September 1st @ Tices Shoal on the Barnegat Bay - 11:00AM.

There will be a "Pre-Rendezvous" at Captain's Inn on the Forked River August 31st - 6:00PM. It will be a casual dinner with fellow owners and a nice way to show our boats off!

------RSVPs are encouraged to properly account for each event. Simply RSVP on this page or through formulaownersofnj@gmail.com! Please earlier the better for RSVPs ------

A flyer should be posted sometime tonight or tomorrow - please share this event info with fellow Formula Owners. This event is a zero fee event and a very casual experience. Look through our albums of the last 3 years of Rendezvous!

Lets once again show them that New Jersey Formula Owners simply just have more fun!

That's pretty good. Probably majority of the usual suspects. There will be more. Oh yes there will be more. Positive thinking "if you organize it, they will come"

New faces signing up and yes the usual suspects that were brought together from the first Birds on the Bay.

1. RAMPS : There are several ramps local that you can easily ramp ANY size boat you are trailering.*Southwinds*on*the*Forked River has*the*closest ramp to Tices however for*the long boats it can be a trick to get out of*the*ramp area if there's boat traffic or wind because of how*the*gas dock is. Thats really*the*only negative.*On*location there's a dock store, plenty of slips for transient parking, a restaurant and beach bar.*http://marinaatsouthwinds.com/home.phpA friend (splitdecision) actually turned me onto going to*the*Lacey Elks Lodge*onthe*Forked River. It has a very long ramp that usually is good for any boat during mean to high tides.*The*place is very laid back for truck/trailer parking. Here'sthe*address 900 Beach Blvd Forked River, NJ 08731. There's a few others that I have used but with my 26PC but I feel more comfortable with*the*other 2. There's Townsends Marina (has nasty drop off), Ricks Marina (used once*on*a good tide had no real issues putting in). There's a free ramp too but that's mostly for smaller vessels.

2. BOAT SAFETY : We do not want anyone to subject their boat to any kind of damage while rafted up to others during*the*day. Everyone is responsible of their own boat and we expect everyone to keep an eye out for each other. We had several boats with Imron sides rafted up over*the*past 3 years' events and*the owners of those boats usually have a felt/furry jacket that goes over*the*fenders. You also have*the*option to anchor real close if you so choose but we don't want anyone to be excluded from*the*fun!*If you have any questions or want more info of*the*area let me know*on*here or email*formulasownersofnj@gmail.com. We have had people attend from Hudson Area that stayed in*the*area also.

Did some rendezvous promoting this weekend. Handed out some flyers to neighboring Formulas over at Tices yesterday. It was an insanely crowded day there yesterday. I guess people are finally discovering that the waters are safe to navigate. That's a good thing. Saw lots of Formulas. We got our work cut out for us but we'll get it done.

Approximately 4 Fastechs, 6 PCs, and an SS have RSVP'd for at least part of the weekend. There were a handful that have said yes but waiting on formal rsvp.

:D :D :D :D

A BIGGGG thank you one of our fans/Formula Owner of NJ--- Doug Blum for ordering some of our Formula Owners of New Jersey decals from Implicit Decals to hand out at the BIRDS ON THE BAY Rendezvous Tices Shoal September 1st. Unfortunately Doug will not be able to attend the Rendezvous due to a wedding, but lets give him a big Thank You here!

I spoke with Debbie the owner of Captain's Inn where our "Pre-Rendezvous Dinner" is at on August 31st. She said slips can be had for overnighting for only $50! I hope this helps some people out so they can make the dinner and then head over to the Rendezvous the following morning! All you have to do is let me know and I will arrange it for you.

Sure hope no one other than formula owners are planning on going by boat for dinner! There's not gonna be any slips available for them! LOL

A lot of action in the Formula forum over on Offshoreonly.com. Think we picked up a few more attendees. I handed out 5 more flyers yesterday. A 353, 280ss, 40pc, 292, and a 272 which was owned by Doug aka sluggo who already knew about it. Plan is to do some additional promotion today. Hopefully we'll pick up a few more

Dont forget the 357sr1 and 252ss. I will sit down tonight and go thru all the models rsvp'd for the events but I know we have a variety.

There is a young guy who launches the same era 252ss with red bottom paint from townsends marina. A pretty sick turbo'd black ford too. I didn't get a chance to speak with him. Hoping to see him this weekend to let him know.
