air conditioner water p/u location?

This may be an odd question but here goes. My boat sits on the bottom at low tide. The drives are tilted up. If my air is on at the dock, will it be sucking up mud from the bottom and mess up my unit? Are there strainers for that?

There is a strainer at your pickup, there should be a removable cover over the strainer between your engines. Your best bet would be to NOT run your AC at low tide! The strainer is not going to catch all of the sediment so you will basically be wet sanding the innards of your pump.

Agree with PT G, mud will probably clog up your lines. Strainer will only catch seagrass and not sediment. I know a few strands of seagrass will sometimes cause an error code/fault, so mud would probably clog up the lines and cause more problems.

I think I may have to dock bow in like the center consoles. That would put the stern in deeper water.
