My air conditioning works fine at the dock on Shore power or the generator.. When I leave the dock and get underway I get the HPF screen. I'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion how to keep the prime while underway or why I am losing my prime while underway.. When I return to the dock and bleed it it comes right back on..

HPF is a head pressure error that is caused by lack of flow of water to the condenser. Basic stuff to check is the strainer and water intake to the thru hull. Has anything been done to the thru hull on the bottom of the boat? It seems like you are sucking air while out running. Some a/c intakes have a scoop to force water into the system. This may be painted or damaged. Let us know what you find.

Has the intake thru hull been changed over the years? The factory installed has a bit of scoop to solve this. Also, If while underway the genset sucks air it will smoke the impeller.
